I have the honour to acknowledge the Receipt of Your despatch,
dated the 26th of January last, relative to the "Protection of Women and Girls Amendment Ordinance, 1899." And to inform you, that in view of the explanations contained in Your despatch, I am prepared to leave Section 7 of the Ordinance unaltered. You showed, however, that it was proposed to enact the other amendments mentioned in my despatch of the 8th of December.
